Crete: Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the picturesque little church of Saint Theodore
On the picturesque island, located opposite the area of Agia Marina in Chania, with its great ecological importance and its important role in saving the protected Cretan wild-goat, a Festive Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was held to commemorate the translation of the relics of the Holy Great Martyr Theodore Stratelates, and was offiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Damaskinos of Kydonia and Apokoronas.
The Divine Liturgy was attended by the General Hierarchal Commissioner of the local Metropolis, Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Fr. George Perakis, who is also the resident Parish Priest of the Church of Saint Marina, as well as priests of the Metropolis, while a large number of people participated also in prayer.
