Brisbane: The Service of the Lamentations at the Parish of the Dormition of Our Lady, Mt Gravatt

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane presided over the Service of the Lamentations at the parish of the Dormition of Our Lady in the Brisbane suburb of Mt Gravatt.

Also present for the Lamentations Service were the High Commissioner of Cyprus in Australia, His Excellency Mr Antonis Sammoutis, the Honorary Consul of Greece in Queensland, Mr George Mastrocostas and the Honourable Anthe Phillippides, former judge of the Queensland Court of Appeal.

At the conclusion of the sermon, His Grace conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios to Parish Priest Father Nicholas Brown, the Parish Council, Philoptochos and all the congregation.
