Bright feast of the Holy Fathers of Vatopaidi Monastery
On Saturday July 23, 2022, the Synaxis of the Holy Fathers of Vatopaidi Monastery was celebrated with Byzantine splendor at the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopaidi, Mt Athos.
His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Patras presided over the solemn Divine Liturgy, assisted by Abbot Gerontas Ephraim of Vatopaidi Monastery.
Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol also attended the Divine Liturgy and prayed in the holy sanctuary, while a large number of hieromonks and monks of Mount Athos participated.
It should be mentioned that pilgrims from various parts of Greece rushed to the monastery for the celebration.
Finally, after the end of the Divine Liturgy, a celebratory feast was offered and then the Metropolitan of Patras, Chrysostomos, offered a celebratory homily to the monastic brotherhood and pilgrims.
