Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis attended the service for the Legal Year in Tasmania
Upon invitation of the Anglican Bishop of Tasmania The Right Reverend Dr Richard Condie His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis visited Hobart and attended the Anglican Cathedral of St David’s for a service praying for those in the legal profession.
The service was attended by Her Excellency the Honourable Mrs Barbara Baker, the Mayor of Hobart Mrs Anna Reynolds, Senior Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania and people of the legal profession.
Apart from His Grace, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tasmania His Grace Julian Porteous also attended andhome took part in the service.
Accompanying His Grace was Reverend Irenaues Kiokas, Parish Priest of the church of St George Hobart
At the end of the service His Grace conveyed to the Governor of Tasmania and the Roman Catholic Archbishop the love and respect of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
