Archimandrite Alexios Demirtzis appointed as the new Proistamenos of the Church of Saint Dimitrios in Tataoula, Constantinople

On Palm Sunday, 28 April 2023, the Community of Saint Dimitrios Tataoula, in Constantinople, welcomed with great joy and honour, the new Proistamenos of the Church, Father Alexios Demirtzis, who concelebrated with the Hierarchical Vicar of the District, His Eminence Metropolitan Stephanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos and other clerics from the community.

Metropolitan Stephanos presented the new Priest to the congregation and wished him wholeheartedly to have the continuous blessing of God in his life and to minister with deep faith and apostolic zeal to the needs of his parishioners.

It is worth noting that the day before, the new Priest of the Tataoula Community received from the pious hands of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the office of Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne. The elevation took place in the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George, immediately after Vespers of Palm Sunday. His All-Holiness spoke with warm words of love for the new Archimandrite, whom he praised and congratulated.

Similarly, the Tataoula Community congratulates the new Archimandrite and wishes him good health, long life and every heavenly blessing, so that he may serve the needs of the community’s pious Christians seamlessly and efficiently, under the spiritual guidance of the Metropolitan Stephanos.
