Archdiocese of Australia to launch commemorative coins for 1821 Greek Revolution on June 4
On Friday, June 4, the official launch of the commemorative coins issued as part of the celebrations of the 200th Anniversary since the beginning of the Greek Revolution of 1821 will be hosted by the National Committee for the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
The event will take place at the Cathedral of the Annunciation in Redfern, Sydney (242 Cleveland Street) in a special event open to the public.
The Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Christos Karras, will officially launch the commemorative coins and then Archbishop Makarios of Australia, who is the chairman of the National Committee for the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821, will deliver a speech.
The public will have the opportunity to buy the collectible coins, which will then be available in all bookstores of the Archdiocese of Australia.
It should be mentioned that 1,821 silver coins and respectively 1,821 bronze coins have been issued as a celebration of 1821 Greek Revolution.
Collectible coins will be available for $ 120 silver coin and $ 60 copper coin.
