Archdiocese of America proposed to Ecumenical Patriarchate elevation to episcopacy of two clergymen

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America presided on 15 March 2024, over the session of the Holy Eparchial Synod meeting at Saint Mark the Evangelist in Boca Raton, Florida, in the Metropolis of Atlanta, to discuss current issues concerning the life of the Church.

At the proposal of the Archbishop, it was decided to submit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and, according to the Charter of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, the list of three names (the triprosopon) and with the request and proposal of the Holy Eparchial Synod to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the elevation to the Episcopacy of two distinguished clergymen from the List of Clergy for advancement fulfilling the Conditions of Article 14 of the Charter of the Archdiocese.
