Archdiocese of America on the election of the new Metropolitan of Denver

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America issued a statement expressing his joy at the unanimous election of His Grace Bishop Constantine of Sassima as the new Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Denver by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate at its meeting yesterday.

Archbishop Elpidophoros has directed the clergy of the Holy Metropolis of Denver to commemorate the canonical name of their new Shepherd in the divine services. The Archbishop also expressed his gratefulness to the Locum Tenens of the Holy Metropolis of Denver, His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago, for his loving and faithful archpastoral oversight of the metropolis, its clergy, and faithful.

The Enthronement of Metropolitan Constantine of Denver will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Assumption in Denver, Colorado. The following day, Sunday of the Holy Pentecost, His Eminence will celebrate his first Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral as the new Metropolitan of Denver.
