Archbishop of Białystok celebrates Divine Liturgy and Consecration at renovated Church

On 18 February 2023, His Eminence Archbishop Jakub of Białystok and Gdańsk presided over the Divine Liturgy at the All Saints Church in Białystok, Poland. Prior to the service, the Archbishop consecrated the church following its extensive renovation.

At the end of the ceremony, Archbishop Jakub expressed his gratitude to the parish priest, Fr. Piotr Pietkiewicz, for spearheading and overseeing the comprehensive renovation of the church. He also extended his appreciation to the parish vicars, the Parish Council, and all individuals who contributed to this significant restoration effort.

Situated within the cemetery grounds of the Wygoda estate in Białystok, the All Saints Church has a rich history dating back 130 years to its construction in 1894. Initially serving as a cemetery chapel until 1982, it was subsequently elevated to a parish church following the establishment of a new parish in Białystok by the decree of then-Bishop Sawa of Białystok and Gdańsk. The most recent renovation of the church, completed in 2023, involved the replacement of the flooring, installation of underfloor heating, and the addition of frescoes adorning the walls.
