Archbishop Makarios Visits Saint Andrew’s Grammar in Perth WA

On the third day of His pastoral visit to Perth, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia visited St Andrew’s Grammar Day School in Dianella accompanied by His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea and school Parish Priest, Fr Terry Gerovasilis.

His Eminence was warmly welcomed by Principal Mrs Dawn Clements and was escorted to the gymnasium for an official whole school assembly. This included traditional Greek dancing, audio and visual presentations and performances by the students.

His Eminence, in His address to the students, reminded them about the crucial importance of holding onto their faith and identity.

The school presented His Eminence with a gift and asked Him to keep both the teachers and students in his prayers. Additionally, a special plaque was placed on the wall in the reception area to mark the first official visit of His Eminence to the St Andrew’s Grammar.
