Archbishop Makarios of Australia on trials and trusting in God
In the face of trials that arise in our lives, to keep our trust in God strong, we are encouraged by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, through his new video message which he posted to Instagram.
In this message of encouragement and support, the Archbishop first recalls a saying that Saint Nectarios, who went through many sorrows and trials, used to say to himself: “Nectarios, be patient because God sends trials to His own people.” Furthermore, His Eminence points out that once someone asked God: “My God, why did you throw me into the deep waters?”, the answer he received was: “Because your enemies do not know how to swim”!.
