After many decades, the Service of the Epitaphios will take place at the Church of Panagia Paramythia Vlach Saray in Constantinople

The climax of the Divine Drama of Great and Holy Week in Constantinople will have a historical character this year, as after many decades the Service of the Epitaphios and Lamentations on Great and Holy friday will be held at the Holy Church of Panagia Paramythia Vlach Saray.

The joyous event is made known by the Community of Panagia Paramythia, of the Phanar – Golden Horn District, who announced: “with deep emotion, it is brought to the knowledge of the pious Christians and those who appreciate the divine services that, after many decades, the Holy Service of the Epitaphios and the Lamentations will be held in the Holy Church of Panagia Paramythia which is still under restoration, on Great and Holy Friday, 3 May 2024, at 2:00 p.m.”.
