The Feast of Epiphany at the Vatopedi Metochion of Galata, Constantinople
On Sunday, 19 January 2025, the Divine liturgy at the Church of Saint Andrew the Apostle in Galata, where the Russian-speaking parish of Constantinople is located, His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia, officiated, having as his co-celebrants the Priests of the Metochion, and performed the Service of the Great Sanctification of the Waters. The choir of the Church chanted most beautifully and faithful believers from Constantinople and pilgrims from abroad attended the Divine Liturgy.
After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the Proistamenos of the Church, Grand Preacher Father Panaretos, welcomed His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoros with warm words, who, on behalf of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, officiated on this glorious day of the Epiphany of the Lord.
During his address, His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia conveyed to the Russian-speaking Parish the Patriarchal wishes and the paternal blessing of His All-Holiness, analysed the meaning of the feast and congratulated the priests for the pastoral work they perform.
This was followed by a festive reception for the entire congregation in the adjacent Church Hall.
