Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew honoured the memory of his predecessor Ecumenical Patriarch Gregory VII

On Thursday, 25 January 2024, on the feast day of the memory of Saint Gregory the Theologian, Archbishop of Constantinople, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, accompanied by the Grand Protosyncellus Archimandrite Gregory, made his way to the Holy Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi at Baloukli, and performed a Trisagion for the repose of the soul of his predecessor Ecumenical Patriarch Gregory VII (1923-1924), who had given the Tomos of Autocephaly to the Holy Church of Poland, and had founded the Holy Metropolis of the Princes’ Islands, as well as the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, which this year celebrates its 100 years since its founding and establishment.
