Minor fire in courtyard of Greek PM’s residence

An investigation has been launched into a fire that broke out in a ground-floor store in the courtyard of the Maximos Mansion, the prime minister’s official residence, on Saturday morning.

The fire, which broke out at 6.20 a.m., was quickly contained and caused only minor damage to the structure.

A contingent of 24 firefighters and seven tenders attended the scene.
