The Parish of Saint Barbara celebrated Feast Day in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
With due splendour and reverence, the memory of Saint Barbara the Great Martyr was celebrated at the Parish of the same name in the city of Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His Eminence Metropolitan Theodosios of Kinshasa presided over the feast day service, who, after referring to the life of both Saint Barbara, Saint John of Damascus and Saint Seraphim, Bishop of Phanarion, referred to the confession of faith that united the three Saints.
His Eminence Metropolitan Theodosios also mentioned three ways that the confession of Christ can be expressed even today: With the Orthodox faith, with an scriptural (Gospel) ethos and missionary activity.
His Eminence Metropolitan Theodosios was joined also in the Liturgy by, the Chancellor, Archimandrite Gerasimos, The Abbot, Archimandrite Chrysostomos, The Hierarchical Vicar, Archimandrite Ephraim, Archimandrite Ioannis, Protopresbyters Father Samuel and Father Theodoros, Hieromonk Father Ignatius and Deacons, Father Paisios, Father Timotheos, Father Ierotheos, Father Achilles and Father Gregorios
