Five-year Memorial Service for the Late Metropolitan Ignatius of Larissa
On Saturday morning, 24 June 2023, a memorial service was held in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Saint Achillios, in Larissa, on the completion of five years since the falling asleep in the Lord of the Late Metropolitan Ignatius of Larissa and Tyrnavos.
His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos, in his sermon, referred to the feast day of the birth of the Holy Forerunner and Baptist John and wished for the soul of his blessed predecessor to rest in peace.
After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy and the memorial service, clergy and faithful, among them the Member of Parliament Mr. Maximos Charakopoulos and the politician Ms. Irini Karalariotou, made their way to the back of the Holy Altar of the Church, where the grave of the blessed Hierarch is located and performed a memorial service.
