Memory of St. Photios, Patriarch of Constantinople, to be celebrated on Monday with Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at Monastery of Petraki
The memory of the patron saint of the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, St. Photios, Patriarch of Constantinople, will be celebrated on Monday with an Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos, also known as the Monastery of Petraki.
The latter is located in the mountainous district of Penteli, due north of Athens. His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, will officiate at the Divine Liturgy.
The annual joint session of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece with theology faculty of the Universities of Athens and Thessaloniki will follow at the Inter-Orthodox Center, which is headquartered at the Monastery of Petraki.
The ecclesiastical services and the joint session will be live-streamed by the Pemptousia television platform, in partnership with the Orthodoxia News Agency.
