Northcote: 1st Screening of ‘Man of God’ great success
On Saturday the 30th April with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia the District of Northcote had the opportunity to offer its first screening of the much-loved movie Man of God.
The screening took place at The Palace Westgarth Cinema in Northcote which was a very important location to the migrant Greeks during the 60s and 70s as it was a Greek Cinema offering to the migrant Greeks screenings of classic Greek movies.
His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta in His brief address conveyed the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia to all in attendance and thanked His Eminence for His efforts of securing the rights of the movie for Australia.
His Grace also thanked the sponsors of the night, Mr Chris Vlahonasios director of Byzanfest and J and N Poultry.
In the month of May the District of Northcote will have another 3 screenings available, Epping Saturday 21st May Sunshine Sunday 29th May and Coburg 30 May.
