The Metropolitan of Philippi and a group of pilgrims from Kavala visit the Phanar

On Friday 12 April 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated at the venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George, in the Phanar, during the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.

Present for the Divine Liturgy were His Eminence Metropolitan Stephanos of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos, along with His Grace Bishop Pavlos of Thespa, and a group of pilgrims, including Mayors and other elected local authorities from the Prefecture of Kavala.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Metropolitan of Philippi officiated at the service of the 4th Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos, during which the Patriarchal Deacon Fr. Ieronymos Sotirelis preached the holy sermon.
