(Video) Leros: The First Divine Liturgy in honour of Saint Gavrielia
The first Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in honour of the canonisation of Saint Gavrielia was celebrated with great reverence, on Wednesday morning, 4 October 2023, at the Metropolitan Chapel of Saint Sophronios in Leros, by His Grace Bishop Stephanos of Stratonikeia, and was joined by Archimandrite Gedeon and Presbyter Father Damaskinos, whilst His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalaia was present and joined in prayer.
Father Nicholas, along with Mr. Anastasios Hatzilaris and Mr. Dimitrios Deliyiannis chanted the sacred hymns for the festive Divine Liturgy.
On the occasion of the first Divine Liturgy, the Megalynarion of Saint Gavrielia was chanted with great reverence and joy.
Thos who were present for the Divine Liturgy, both clergy and laity, were able to venerate with great piety, the Holy Skull of the Saint.
