Victoria records 1656 new cases of COVID-19, 10 deaths

The state has recorded 1656 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 deaths. Today’s tally is down from yesterday’s 1923 cases.

There are now 23,730 active cases of COVID-19 across the state.

Today’s numbers are off the back of yesterday’s 70,180 coronavirus tests.

There are currently 738 coronavirus patients in Victorian hospitals. There are 130 in intensive care. Of those, 85 are on a ventilator.

In terms of vaccines, 78 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over are now fully vaccinated.
