Trikala: The Feast of the Synaxis of the Most Holy Theotokos “The Hope of All”
His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Trikki, Gardiki and Pyli, officiated during the Vespers Service at the celebrating Church of Saint Gregory the Theologian in the Gardikaki district of Trikala on Wednesday afternoon, 25 December 2024, for the feast of the Synaxis of the Most Holy Theotokos “The Hope of All”.
On Thursday morning, 26 December 2024, Metropolitan Chrysostomos presided over the Feast Day Divine Liturgy in the same church.
The Holy Sermon was preached by Archimandrite Achillios Tsoutsouras, Holy Preacher of the Holy Metropolis of Trikki.
The feast day was enriched by the presence of distinguished co-celebrants, among whom was Archimandrite Father Dionysios Panastasiou, from the Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, who celebrated the completion of seven years since his ordination to the priesthood, which took place on the second day of Christmas, by His Eminence Metropolitan Ioustinos of Nea Krini and Kalamaria.
His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Trikki, Gardiki and Pyli, warmly congratulated him and wished him well in his ministry.
At the same time, he announced that from 1 January 2025, Father Dionysios will assume the duties of Dean of the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Aretsous, along with Fr. Chrysostomos Theodosiadis from the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence warmly wished all the faithful a happy new year, asking for the protection and intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, “the Hope of All”, so that she may be a source of hope, strength and support in the lives of all.
