The Vespers of Love in Canberra, ACT
With the Blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Vespers of Love took place at the church of Saint Nicholas in Canberra. The service was officiated by His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis, assisted by Parish Priest of Saint Nicholas, Very Reverend Petros Kipouros at Reverend Father Agathangelos Masteas from the Riverina Region.
The Gospel was read in 10 languages, greek, english, french, turkish, spanish, Indonesian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Homeric Greek and Italian.
At the end of the service His Grace Bishop Bartholomew conveyed warm wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and thanked everyone for attending the service, in particular Father Agathangelos who travelled from Albury. Furthermore Bishop Bartholomew once again thanked Father Petros for his efforts.
