The Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy Maira Myrogianni visits the Phanar

On Thursday, 12 September 2024, the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Ms. Maira Myrogianni, was received by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, at the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople, where she made her first official visit after assuming her new duties.

During the meeting, the Secretary General expressed the support of the Greek State to the institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and its respect for the person of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with whom they had an extensive discussion on issues related to the Greek Community and Greeks Abroad. In addition, they mentioned issues of interreligious dialogue, as well as the pastoral work of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
