The second annual Memorial Service for the Late Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus

On Thursday, 7 November 2024, the second annual Memorial Service for the repose of the soul of the Ever-remembered Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus took place at the Holy Cathedral Church of Apostle Barnabas in Nicosia.

With the blessings of His Beatitude Archbishop Georgios of New Justiniana and All Cyprus, the Divine Liturgy and the Memorial Service were presided over by His Grace Bishop Gregorios of Mesaoria, who was joined by the Protosyncellys of the Holy Metropolis of Trimythous, Archimandrite Gregorios Ioannidis, the Protopresbyter Father Dimitrios Dimosthenous and Deacon Father Andreas Matei. Also present and joined in prayer from the Holy Altar were, the Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre in Cyprus, His Eminence Metropolitan Timotheos of Vostra and His Grace Bishop Porphyrios of Neapolis. Also present was the Abbot of the Holy Royal and Stavropegic Monastery of Apostle Barnabas, Archimandrite Ioannis Ioannou.

The Divine Liturgy was attended by clergy, members of the staff of the Holy Archdiocese and the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation, professors and students of the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus, the President of the Nicosia School Ephorate, the Principal, teachers and students of the Pancyprian High School, relatives, friends, associates and pilgrims who went to pay tribute to the late Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy and the Memorial Service, a Trisagion was held at the tomb of the ever-remembered Archbishop.
