The Orthodox faithful of Albania chanted the Akathist Hymn with devotion

In an atmosphere of reverence and with the participation of many faithful, the Service of the Akathist Hymn was chanted in the churches of Albania.

His Beatitude Archbishop Ioannis of Albania presided over the service at the Resurrection Cathedral in Tirana and spoke about the protection of the Theotokos for all people, emphasising that her purified image is our great comfort and source of hope.

His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaos of Fier presided at the Cathedral of Saint George in Fier. His His Eminence Metropolitan Antonios of Elbasan presided at the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Elbasan, while His Eminence Metropolitan Astios of Berat presided at the Cathedral of Saint Demetrios in Berat.
