The new Ambassador of France to Turkey visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate

The new Ambassador of France to Turkey, Isabelle Dumont, visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Thursday, 9 November 2023, on the occasion of her recent assumption of duties.

Dumont was warmly received by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with whom she had the opportunity to discuss current issues of interest and the situation in disputed regions of the world.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the Consul General of France in Constantinople, Mr. Olivier Gauvin, and her Counselor and Director of the Office, Mr. Konstantinos Prevelakis.

Subsequently, the Ambassador visited the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George, where Archdeacon Jacob informed her about its history and significance.
