The Name Day celebration of Metropolitan Panteleimon of Vryoula

Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki

On Saturday, 27 July 2024, at the celebrating Church of Saint Panteleimon, in Panaroma, of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, a Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy took place, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Vryoula, who was celebrating his name day. Metropolitan Panteleimon was joined in concelebration by His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Patara and His Eminence Metropolitan Filotheos of Thessaloniki, as well as by the Clergy of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki in the presence of many faithful believers.

The Holy Sermon was delivered by His Eminence Metropolitan Filotheos of Thessaloniki, who wished Metropolitan Panteleimon well for his name day, who also then responded appropriately, thanking the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki for his blessed wishes.

Before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, a Trisagion Memorial Service was conducted for the repose of the soul of the late Metropolitans of Thessaloniki, Panteleimon I (Papageorgiou) and Panteleimon II (Chrysofakis)

At the end of the service, the Parish Priest Archimandrite Nestor Sarantidis thanked the Holy Hierarchs for their blessed presence and wished everyone well for the feast day.
