The Holy Diocese of Chora: The Feast Day of the Annunciation of the Theotokos and the National Anniversary of 25 March 1821

With particular splendour and due ecclesiastical order, the great feast day of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos was celebrated on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, at the Archdiocesan Church of Our Lady “Axion Estin” in Northcote, in the Holy Diocese of Chora.

The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora, who conveyed to the congregation the paternal wishes and blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

Instead of a sermon, the official message of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia was read.

Among the faithful were students of Saint John’s College, who reverently participated in the festive Divine Liturgy.

At the end, the Doxology was festively chanted for the National Anniversary of 25 March 1821, along with prayers for the repose of those who fell for faith and country and for the prosperity of the Greek Nation and the Greek Diaspora.
