The Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord at the Community of Hypsomatheia, Constantinople
The Feast Day of the Nativity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was celebrated in a joyful atmosphere and with the participation of a sufficient number of faithful believers in the Hypsomatheia District, in the City of Constantinople.
On the main day of the feast, Wednesday 25 December, the festal Divine Liturgy took place, near to the Stoudios Monastery, in the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen, Hypsomatheia,
His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, Overseer of the Hypsomatheia District presided over the Matins and Divine Liturgy.
A festive reception followed, during which the Protopsaltis of the Region, Mr. Michalis Kozis, with the Musicians, Mr. Symeon Kanakis and Mr. Panagiotis Kalaitzoglou, sang festive Christmas carols.
