The Feast of Saint Euphemia the Great Martyr at the Ecumenical Patriarchate

On the feast day of the Holy and glorious Great Martyr Euphemia, renowned throughout the world, on 16 September 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George, at the Phanar.

In attendance were Their Eminences Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, Metropolitan Joachim of Bursa, His Grace Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus, as well as clergy and faithful from Constantinople and abroad.

On the eve of the feast, Metropolitan Meliton presided over the Great Vespers.

The Holy Relics of the Saint, which are kept in the Patriarchal Church, was displayed on the soleas for veneration by the devout faithful on both days.
