The Feast Day of Saint Seraphim of Sarov at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Gorgoepikoos in Gelong, Victoria

On 2 January 2025, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne officiated at the Matins Service and Divine Liturgy for the Feast of Saint Seraphim of Sarov at the Monastery of Panagia Gorgoepikoos in Geelong, Victoria. The service took place in the chapel dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov on the monastery grounds.

Several priests from the Diocese of Melbourne participated in the liturgy, the nuns of the monastery, led by Abbess Kallistheni and Sister Gregoria, were also in attendance, along with many local parishioners and faithful pilgrims from Melbourne.

During the service, His Grace read the 2025 New Year message of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia in both English and Greek. At the conclusion of the liturgy, His Grace conveyed the blessings and well wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and distributed the Artoklasia and Antidoron to those present.
