The Feast Day of Epiphany in Chalcedon, Constantinople

On Monday, 6 January 2025, the Great Feast Day of Epiphany was celebrated with due ecclesiastical splendour in Chalcedon, Constantinople, and was presided over by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, who was joined in concelebration by local clergymen from Chalcedon.

From early in the morning, many people made their way to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, both from Constantinople and from abroad, led by the representative of the Consul General of Constantinople, Consul Ms. Athanasia Iliaki.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy and the Great Blessing of the Waters, and after consultation with the Community of Chalcedon and in excellent cooperation with the local authorities, the Ceremony of the Immersion of the Holy Cross took place at the pier in the Modi area.

At the end of the ceremony, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel, after thanking all those who participated and especially the President and members of the Chalcedon Community, wished that everyone’s years would be many and enlightened, always bathed in the grace of the Lord. Then the Community hosted a banquet for everyone at the nautical club located in the Modi area.
