The Ecumenical Patriarch received the Christmas wishes of the Hierarchy of the Ecumenical Throne in Turkey
On Tuesday, 26 December 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the esteemed Hierarchy of the Ecumenical Throne in Turkey, who wholeheartedly wished him well for the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi warmly addresses His All-Holiness, who offered on behalf of all the Hierarchs, an ornate epigonation.
The Patriarch expressed his warm thanks to his brother and fellow Hierarchs and wished for our Lord Jesus Christ to bestow on them, and on the flock of the Mother Church and on all of humanity, health and strength, and especially peace to the long-suffering Ukraine and the newly shaken Middle East, but also in every region of the planet tested by war and conflict.
Prior to this, His Eminence Metropolitan Dimitrios of Princes’ Islands, had a personal meeting with His All-Holiness, to whom he offered the anniversary volume published on the occasion of the centenary of the Holy Metropolis of the Princes’ Islands (1924-2024). His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed his personal congratulations for this initiative and for the elegant volume of work, as well as his Patriarchal satisfaction to His Eminence Metropolitan Dimitrios for the work being accomplished in the ecclesiastical province entrusted to him by the Mother Church.
