The celebration of the Feast of Theophany according to the Julian Calendar in Triglia, Bithynia

On Sunday, 19 January 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Theoliptos of Iconium officiated, representing His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, at the Divine Liturgy which took place at the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos, of the Metropolis in Triglia, Bithynia, on the occasion of the Feast Day of Theophany according to the Julian Calendar.

Also, the Service of the Great Sanctification of the Waters of Theophany took place, as well as a Trisagion memorial service for the repose of the souls of the people of Triglia.

Present also for the feast day were many faithful believers of the local area who follow the Julian Calendar, pilgrims from the city of Constantinople as well as Greece.

The entire responsibility for the celebration was entrusted to the local Shepherd, His Eminence Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa.

This was followed by the Blessing of the waters at the local port, which was attended by a large crowd.
