Sydney: Volunteer Training Course organised by the Greek Welfare Centre

The Greek Welfare Centre of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia in Sydney organises Volunteer Training Courses 3 or 4 times a year. The courses are free and are conducted in both Greek and English, with the training lasting over 3 consecutive weeks.

The first session of this year’s first round of training will take place on Tuesday, 6 May 2025, and will continue on the following two Tuesdays. It will be hosted at St. Stephanos’ Parish, Hurlstone Park, Sydney (650 New Canterbury Rd Hurlstone Park), from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The program is aimed at those who wish to dedicate some of their free time and offer valuable assistance to others, or wish to acquire some new skills that are useful in many fields.

In addition to the benefits for the organisation, there are many other benefits for volunteers: increased self-confidence, social outlets, opportunities for self-development, etc. Volunteers of the Greek Welfare Centre can also apply the knowledge and skills they acquire in other fields and prove particularly useful in their employment applications.

Those interested in taking part in the Volunteer Training Course can contact the Greek Welfare Centre on (02) 9516 2188 or by email: reception@gwccs.org.au.
