The Year 12 students of the Class of 2025 of St. Spyridon College in Sydney received their customary senior jerseys, marking the official start of their final year at the school.
This custom, which is widespread in Australian schools, involves the giving of special jersey or jacket that usually bear each student’s name, the school emblem and a indication of the senior year. It symbolises the unity of the class and the beginning of the countdown to graduation.
At St. Spyridon College, the presentation of the jersey was made by the College Captain , Evan Mihail. A commemorative jersey was presented to the Head of College, Ms. Amelia Katsogiannis, who appropriately wished the Year 12 students well for the remainder of the current school year.
