Palm Sunday celebrated at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv

On the Feast of the Lord’s Entry into Jerusalem, 13 April 2025, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Michael the Golden-Domed Monastery in the capital.

Concelebrating with the Primate of the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine were His Eminence Archbishop Agapit of Vyshhorod, Abbot of the Golden-Domed Monastery; His Grace Bishop Yefrem of Vasylkiv; the monastery brotherhood; and invited clergy.

Following the reading of the Gospel, the Metropolitan delivered a sermon and offered a special prayer to the Lord during this time of national danger for Ukraine.

During the service, fervent prayers were also offered for the soldiers defending Ukraine, for the government and the people, and for the repose of the souls of all fallen defenders of the homeland and civilians who perished during the war.

In addition, Metropolitan Epifaniy awarded clergy with ecclesiastical honours.

At the conclusion of the festive service, His Beatitude blessed the willow branches and the faithful with holy water.
