Promotions announced at the Patriarchal Court of the Ecumenical Patriarchate

On 1 December 2024, significant promotions were announced within the Patriarchal Court at the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

During the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew conferred the new title of Grand Archimandrite upon the former Grand Syncellus, Iakovos (Krochak).

In addition, the Holy and Sacred Synod, following a proposal by the Ecumenical Patriarch, decided during yesterday’s session to appoint Patriarchal Deacon Evlogios Tsatsas to the role of Codifier.

Deacon Evlogios had already been serving in this role temporarily since last year.

Finally, following the ordination of Deacon Ieronymos Sotirelis to the priesthood, the Ecumenical Patriarch appointed Epiphanios Kamianovych, a Patriarchal Deacon, as the new Deacon of the Series.
