PM Mitsotakis to attend papal funeral

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, accompanied by his wife Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, will attend the funeral service of Pope Francis at the Vatican on Saturday.
He will be one of dozens of heads of state and government who will attend the ceremony.
The Vatican announced that 130 delegations have confirmed their participation, including 50 heads of state and 10 sitting monarchs.
US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, are among those arriving on Friday.

Also expected at the official ceremony are Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Argentine President Javier Milei – representing the late pope’s home country – King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Spain will be represented by King Felipe and his wife Letizia, and Britain by the heir to the throne, William.
