Patriarchal Horostasia on Cheesefare Sunday at the Phanar

On Cheesefare Sunday, 17 March 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated from the throne during the Divine Liturgy which took place at the venerable Patriarch Church of Saint George the Great Martyr at the Phanar.

After the Gospel was read, according to Church order, the Catechetical Address of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the beginning of Great and Holy Lent was read by the Chief Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod, Archimandrite Vosporios.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch appropriately addressed the numerous pilgrims who had come to take part in the Divine Liturgy.
