Patriarch of Jerusalem congratulates scouts on cultivating Christian and humanitarian values

On Saturday evening, 3 August 2024, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem blessed the closing ceremony of the 43rd Camp “We Will Stay Here” of the Arabic-speaking Orthodox Scouts of Jerusalem in “Beit Jamal”, near Jerusalem, in the presence of the Consul General of Greece in Jerusalem, Mr. Dimitrios Angelosopoulos.

The program of the event included the ritual of the end of the Scouts’ camping period, a gathering around the fire, gymnastic demonstrations, dances, speeches and the customary awarding of performance medals to the members of the Scouts distinguished for their scouting activity.

Patriarch Theophilos blessed them for their active participation in the Orthodox Church and for cultivating Christian and humanitarian values. The President of the Scouts, Mr. Suleiman Tarazi, thanked the Patriarch for his practical support in their activities.
