Patriarch of Georgia congratulates Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veria on 30 year anniversary as a Bishop

Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia sent a heartfelt letter to the 30th International Conference “Pavleia,” themed “Apostle Paul and the Liturgical Life of the Church,” congratulating His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veria on the completion of 30 years of hierarchical service.

Metropolitan Gerasimos of Zugdidi has been designated as the representative of the Church of Georgia and the Patriarch during the Conference.

In his letter, Patriarch Ilia II wrote, “We greet you all with great respect and express our satisfaction and joy, that we were given the opportunity to once again express our gratitude to you, Metropolitan Panteleimon, for the great work you are doing, not only for the Church of Greece, but for the entire Orthodox Church. The establishment of this international scientific conference has greatly contributed to the promotion of the teachings of the Apostle Paul, the strengthening of Christian thought in our lives, the gathering of theologians, and fostering healthy discussions. Most importantly, it has elevated spirituality among students.”

He continued, “For 50 years, these meetings have addressed various important issues according to the letters of the Apostle Paul. Your dedication has been instrumental in these discussions.”

Finally, Patriarch Ilia II added, “I would like to specifically address you, Your Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon, and along with celebrating the 30th anniversary of the ‘Pavleia,’ I congratulate you on your 30 years of hierarchical service. Your flock is fortunate to have such a shepherd, and you are blessed to be a tireless worker of God from the very first hour.”
