Ordination of Deacon at the Patriarchate of Jerusalem

On the morning of Saturday, 22nd December 2024 / 4th January 2025, at the Holy Golgotha, His Eminence Archbishop Theophanes of Gerash, ordained the chanter, Mr Eustathios Tsoumanis as a deacon, to serve as a married deacon, and thereafter as a married priest. He will serve in various ministries of the Patriarchate.

During his ordination, the Holy Sepulchre Fathers, his wife Anastasia, nuns of the Patriarchate, and members of the Church of Jerusalem proclaimed the words “Axios” (He is worthy).

After the ordination, the Episcopal entourage of the ordination went to the Patriarchate and was received by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem.
