Northcote: Reunion event of all chatechism participants from the last three years of classes

On Saturday, 5 November 2022, at the Archdiocesan Church of Panagia ‘Axion Esti’, in Northcote of Victoria, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, a reunion was held for those who converted to the Orthodox faith, who were catechised during the last three years, that is, since the establishment of the North-Coat Archdiocesan District.

The purpose of the event was to maintain communication between the newly baptised and received members of the Faith and the local Church.

The day began with a Holy Supplication Paraklesis Service to the Most Holy Theotokos, while it was followed by a short address by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, who conveyed the prayers and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios to all present. Also, His Grace spoke about the value of unity and emphasised how important it is for believers to participate in the life of the Church. Bishop Evmenios pointed out to those present that, although they are not Greek by origin, the Holy Archdiocese of Australia is also theirs and will be by their side in every need.
