Metropolitan of Sweden presented study on Fr. Eusebius Vittis to Ecumenical Patriarch
His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia, during his participation in the Synaxis of the Hierarchy of the Ecumenical Throne at the Phanar in Constantinople, held from September 1 to 3, 2024, met with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Monday, 2 September 2024.
During the meeting, Metropolitan Cleopas informed the Ecumenical Patriarch about the ongoing work in his Metropolis and presented his recently published study on the late Hieromonk Fr. Eusebius Vittis, titled “The Missionary Ministry of Archimandrite Eusebius Vittis in Scandinavia (1965-1980).” The Ecumenical Patriarch extended his congratulations for the effort and for promoting the legacy of Fr. Eusebius, who served the Church with unwavering dedication.
Additionally, Metropolitan Cleopas updated the Patriarch on his current project, which focuses on documenting the history of the Holy Metropolis, particularly its first five years since its establishment (1969-1974), as well as the contributions of its first hierarch, the late Metropolitan of Anea, Polyeuctos (Finfinis). The Ecumenical Patriarch offered his blessings for this important work.
