Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv led Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, 14 September 2024, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv.

He was joined in the service by the abbot of the Golden-Domed Monastery, Archbishop Agapit of Vyshgorod, Bishop Ephrem of Vasylkiv, the fathers of the monastery, and other invited clergy.

Following the reading of the Gospel, the Metropolitan delivered a sermon and offered a special prayer to the Lord, addressing the dangers Ukraine currently faces.

Prayers were also offered during the service for the soldiers defending Ukraine, for the government and the people, and for the repose of the souls of all fallen defenders and civilians who died during the war.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Epifaniy consecrated and handed over a vehicle in the monastery courtyard for the needs of the soldiers and defenders of Ukraine.
