Metropolis of Smyrna: The Service of the Resurrection and the Vespers of Love to take place in the newly acquired Church
In the bestowal of the Catholic Church by the Roman Catholic Church to the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the needs of the Holy Metropolis of Smyrna, it is mentioned through a communique issued by the relevant Metropolis, notifying that the Service of the Resurrection and the Vespers of Love will be celebrated in this particular Church during this year’s Paschal Feast Day.
The announcement follows in detail:
“In praise of the Holy Name of the Triune God, the granting of the Roman Catholic Monastic Foundation of SANTA MARIA of the Franciscan Order is announced (address: Ak Deniz Mahallesi, Halit Ziya Bulvarı No.67, 35210, Konak, İzmir), on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church to the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the needs of the Holy Metropolis of Smyrna.
Shepherd and flock of the Apocalyptic Church of Smyrna publicly express their heartfelt thanksgiving and deep gratitude to His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the loving care he showed and saw to it that he personally expressed to Pope Francis the fraternal request for the granting of the Monastic Foundation in the centre of Smyrna (the Church and the surrounding building complex) for serving the religious, spiritual and ecclesiastical needs of the Holy Metropolis of Smyrna, fully and immediately responding to this solemn Patriarchal wish.
As previously announced, the Resurrection Service and the Vespers of Love of the upcoming Holy Pascha will be held in this Church, and the details of the program of divine services will be announced shortly”.
