Metropolis of France: Sanctification rite for the new school year

On Sunday, October 2, Metropolitan Demetrios of France, after the Divine Liturgy, performed the Sanctification rite for the New School Year at the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Paris.
The permanent representative of Greece to the OECD, teachers of the Greek Diaspora Schools, students, and many faithful were present.
The Metropolitan thanked the teachers for the great work they do and wished everyone – teachers, students, and parents – the blessing of God for the new year that begins after a difficult two years, due to the pandemic, as well as strength, patience, and perseverance, stressing that, although everyday life often seems to slide and particularly drag young people, they hide within them an incredible power, which, it is the duty of all of us, to lead to its functional extroversion.
